Bespoke Summerhouse

We were asked to make a new summerhouse to replace an existing small summerhouse and greenhouse.  The area the existing buildings were sited was difficult and the new building had to be built around and incorporating the boundary wall of the property.

Firstly we made the frame of the building.  This all had to be done on site due to the boundary wall forming part of the structure.

Internally, the building was insulated in the floor, walls and ceiling then lined with vertical Redwood T&G boards.  All windows are double glazed and the double doors are fitted with a five lever mortice lock and cabin hooks.

The solid timber roof is covered with cedar shingles and finished off with two ball finials.  Gutters and down pipe have been fitted to assist with drainage.

Electricity was already installed to the site ensuring that this building will be in use all year round.
